Identification

Natural History

This species is known only from males. All the specimens I have seen are from lights at night. An 18-month program of quantitative light trap sampling at La Selva yielded 41 specimens, all of them occurring in the months of March, April, May, and June. Thus flights appear seasonal, concentrated in the late dry season to early wet season. Eduardo Lopez collected two specimens from a sheet with a mercury vapor lamp at Cantarrana, the 300m site on the Barva transect, in April.
